FAQ

Care Instructions

To extend the life of your soap, keep it dry between uses.

Place your soap on a well-draining soap dish and away from direct water whenever possible.

Are your soaps suitable for sensitive skin?

Our soaps are made with gentle, skin-loving ingredients and are designed to cleanse without stripping the skin.

Options such as Calamine Clay and Honey & Oat are especially appreciated by those looking for a softer, more soothing experience.

If you have very sensitive skin, we always recommend performing a patch test first.

How long does a bar last?

Our soaps are cured for several weeks and formulated to create a firm, long-lasting bar.

The lifespan will vary depending on usage and storage, but keeping your soap dry between uses will help it last significantly longer.

Why are artisan soaps more expensive?

Each bar is handcrafted in small batches using high-quality oils, butters, clays, botanicals, milks, and pure essential oils.

Unlike many commercial soaps, our cold process soaps naturally retain their glycerin, which helps support skin hydration.

Every bar also requires time to formulate, pour, cut, cure, label, and package by hand with attention to detail.

Do you use fragrance oils or essential oils?

We use pure essential oils to naturally scent our soaps — no synthetic fragrances.

This creates softer, more subtle aromas derived directly from plants, offering a more natural and refined experience.

Because we work with essential oils, each batch may vary slightly in scent, which is part of the beauty of handmade soap.

Are your soaps vegan?

Not all of our soaps are vegan.

Some recipes contain tallow, a traditional ingredient valued for its compatibility with the skin and its ability to create a rich, long-lasting bar.

Other soaps are made exclusively with plant-based oils.

Each product listing clearly indicates the ingredients used so you can choose what best suits your preferences.

Why do you use tallow in some soaps?

Tallow has been used in traditional soapmaking for generations.

It creates a creamy, nourishing lather and produces a long-lasting bar that many people with dry skin appreciate.

We thoughtfully combine it with botanical ingredients, clays, and essential oils to create balanced formulations inspired by traditional craftsmanship.

Are your soaps handmade?

Yes — every soap is handcrafted in small batches in our home workshop in Ontario, Canada.

Each bar is poured, cut, cured, and packaged by hand with care and attention to detail.

Are your soaps artificially colored?

No — our soaps are naturally colored using clays, botanicals, and plant-based ingredients.

We do not use synthetic colorants or mica.

This creates soft, earthy tones that reflect the natural ingredients used in each bar.

Do you offer local pickup?

Yes! If you are located near Casselman, Ontario, use code PICKUPFREE at checkout and send us a message to arrange pickup.

Do you ship across Canada?

Yes — we currently ship across Canada.

Shipping times may vary depending on your location and the season.

What is the weight of your soap bars?

Because each bar is handcrafted and hand-cut, slight variations may occur.

Most bars weigh approximately 150–160 g after cure.

Do you offer gift options?

Yes — our soaps are available in beautifully curated gift sets, thoughtfully packaged and ready to offer.

Perfect for natural, meaningful gifting ✨
